Accessibility Statement

Sportfish Connection should work for every angler, crew member and fan — including people who use assistive technology. Last updated September 27, 2026.

Our commitment

We aim for this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility problems as bugs to fix.

What we do

  • Pages use semantic headings, landmarks and lists, and every page starts with a “Skip to content” link.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Every image in our content system requires a text description (alt text); purely decorative imagery is hidden from screen readers.
  • Text and controls are designed to meet WCAG contrast requirements on our dark theme, and pages reflow for zoom and small screens.
  • Moving content such as the live ticker respects your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
  • Forms have visible labels, mark required fields and explain errors in text.

Known limitations

  • Embedded players (YouTube, Vimeo) and the social-media, registration, scoring and results sites we link to are run by third parties, and we cannot control their accessibility.
  • Our own videos are published on YouTube, where automatic captions can be missing or inaccurate. If you need captions or a transcript for one of our videos, contact us and we will provide them.
  • Tournament logos and results are published as the organizers provide them, so some abbreviations and artwork text may be hard to read.
  • Older media posts may have shorter image descriptions than we would write today; we improve them as we find them.

Feedback

If something on the site is hard to use, please tell us through our Contact form (choose “Accessibility feedback”) with the page and what happened. We read every message and will work with you to provide the information you need.

How we check

We review the site with automated accessibility testing (axe-core, WCAG 2.2 AA rules) and manual keyboard checks, and repeat the review when we make significant changes. This statement was last reviewed in September 2026.
