Who we are

This website is operated by The Sportfish Connection LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Sportfish Connection”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it.

About the information on this site

Sportfish Connection is an independent resource that gathers and republishes factual information about offshore fishing tournaments — dates, locations, schedules, registration and results — from tournament organizers and other public sources. We verify listings against official sources when we publish them and note when each listing was last checked, but tournaments change:

• Event dates, schedules, fees, rules, locations and formats may change, be postponed or be canceled by the organizer at any time.
• The tournament organizer and its official website, rules and results remain the authoritative source. Where our information and the organizer’s differ, the organizer’s information governs.
• Registration, live-scoring, weigh-in and results links point to third-party websites that we do not operate or control.
• Standings and results shown here are transcribed from official tournament sources and may be provisional until an organizer declares them final. Sportfish Connection does not score or officiate any event.
• We do not guarantee that any tournament will take place, accept entries or be available to you.

Weather and marine conditions

Where shown, wind, sea-state and tide information comes from external official sources (the U.S. National Weather Service and NOAA) and is provided for general awareness only. It is not a forecast for navigation or safety decisions — always consult official marine forecasts and your own judgment before heading offshore.

Imagery and trademarks

Photographs and artwork on tournament pages are illustrative — some are digitally created — and do not show the specific event, boat, crew or year listed unless a caption says so. Tournament names and logos belong to their organizers and are shown for identification only; they do not imply that Sportfish Connection is affiliated with, or endorsed by, any tournament. Organizers who would like a logo or other asset updated or removed can use the Contact form.

Information you submit

When you send us a tournament listing, correction, logo, photo or other material, you confirm that you are allowed to share it and give Sportfish Connection permission to use, edit and publish it (with credit where appropriate) for tournament listings and coverage. We review every submission and may edit or decline it. How we handle the personal details you include is described in our Privacy Policy.

Copyright and takedown requests

We respect the rights of photographers, artists and tournament organizers. If you believe something on the site uses your copyrighted work or trademark without permission, tell us through our Contact form and include the work you own, the page address (URL) where it appears, your name and contact details, and a statement that you own the work or are authorized to act for the owner. We will review the request promptly and remove or replace the material where appropriate.

Third-party links and sponsors

The site links to tournament, registration, scoring, weather, social-media, video and podcast services that we do not operate; their content and terms are their own. Sponsor placements on the site are clearly labeled (for example “Presented by”) and link directly to the sponsor; a sponsor’s presence is not an endorsement of any tournament, and a tournament’s listing is not an endorsement of any sponsor.

Use of the site

You may use this site for personal, non-commercial reference, and tournament organizers may link to their own listings. Please do not scrape, copy, republish or redistribute the compiled schedule, results or content in bulk or present it as your own, and do not use the site in a way that interferes with its operation. Sportfish Connection’s own content (text, photography, video and podcast material) is © Sportfish Connection unless otherwise credited; tournament facts themselves are public information that we have gathered and organized.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sportfish Connection makes no warranties about the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information and is not liable for decisions made in reliance on it, including travel, entry-fee, or on-the-water decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sportfish Connection and its members, managers, employees, contributors and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, entry fees, travel costs or lost data, arising out of or relating to your use of the site or its information. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or these terms is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

Indemnification

If you submit material to the site or use it in violation of these terms, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Sportfish Connection and its members, managers, employees and partners from any claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising from that material or violation.

Corrections

To report an incorrect tournament listing or other factual issue, use our Contact form or the Submit Tournament update form. Tournament directors and anglers are welcome to send corrections at any time.

Privacy and accessibility

How we handle information you submit is described in our Privacy Policy. Our commitment to an accessible site is described in our Accessibility Statement.

Governing law and disputes

These terms and any dispute relating to the site are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any such dispute must be brought exclusively in the state courts located in St. Johns County, Florida, or the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Sportfish Connection about the site.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site evolves; the date above will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means the updated terms apply.
