Overview
Charity billfish-release and meatfish tournament at Abaco Beach Resort that pairs boats with U.S. active-duty, veteran and first-responder anglers.
The Armed Forces Shootout is an all-charity, two-fishing-day offshore tournament held at Abaco Beach Resort & Boat Harbour Marina in Marsh Harbour. Billfish (blue marlin, white marlin, sailfish, spearfish) are catch-and-release only under IGFA rules; tuna, wahoo and dolphin are weighed with a 10 lb minimum. The format is hook-and-hand, with fish fought by the military and first-responder anglers aboard.
Proceeds support veteran and first-responder suicide-prevention programs (Bird's Eye View Project). The 2026 event was the 4th annual; registration, schedule and leaderboards run on Reel Time Apps.
