Overview
Revived Panama City Beach blue marlin tournament at Point South Marina in Bay Point; the 2026 edition drew 86 boats and a purse above $1.8 million.
The Bay Point Billfish Open returned in 2023 at Point South Marina in Bay Point, Panama City Beach, the venue where Florida's state-record blue marlin was set. Teams depart through St. Andrews Pass after a beach flare start and weigh blue marlin, tuna, wahoo and dolphin on Friday and Saturday, with billfish catch-and-release scored on video.
The 2026 tournament (June 23-28) was the fourth since the revival and set records for fleet size and payout. It is the third leg of the Florida Panhandle Billfish Series and a Sport Fishing Championship stop.
