New high-stakes September heaviest-blue-marlin invitational at Cypress Cove Marina, Venice, with a $35,000 required all-in entry and an optional yellowfin category.
A new fall event from the Cajun Canyons organizers at Cypress Cove Marina in Venice, Louisiana. The format is heaviest blue marlin wins (110-inch LJFL or 500-lb minimum, maximum two per boat) with one optional yellowfin tuna category; every boat's $35,000 required entry ($3,500 entry plus $31,500 all-in buy-in) funds the top blue marlin pool.
The inaugural 2026 edition runs September 16–19 with a mandatory (virtual-optional) captains' meeting Wednesday night, lines in Thursday 8 a.m., lines out Saturday 2 p.m. and scales at Cypress Cove closing Saturday 8 p.m. Boats may depart from any port with no boundaries.
