Overview
Public-entry billfish release tournament that opens the Chub Cay Series at Chub Cay Resort & Marina in the Berry Islands.
The Chub Cay Classic is the first billfish leg of the Chub Cay Series, organized and hosted by Fly Zone Fishing at Chub Cay Resort & Marina. It is open to the public (unlike the members-only Invitational) and fishes under the series' common rules: lines in 8:00am, out 3:00pm, 60-mile boundary, all billfish released with video verification, and tuna, wahoo and dolphin over 10 lb eligible to weigh.
Registration is $5,000 per tournament for the billfish events. The 5th annual Classic ran in March 2026; the resort has published a 2027 series that moves the Classic to February.
