Low-cost, one-fishing-day sailfish release tournament that opens the South Florida sailfish season each December, with captains' meetings in Miami and North Palm Beach and awards in Pompano Beach.
The Dust'em Off Sailfish Warmup is positioned as an affordable early-season practice tournament for South Florida sailfish crews, with video-verified releases scored through the ReelTime app. Registration/captains' meetings are held at a southern (Miami) and northern (North Palm Beach) location, followed by a single Saturday fishing day and a family-friendly awards luncheon.
The 2025 edition ran Dec 3-7, 2025 (registration at Crook & Crook in Miami, northern captains' meeting at HMY Outboard Center in North Palm Beach, fishing Dec 6, awards at the Charlotte Burrie Center in Pompano Beach). The organizer has announced Dec 2-6, 2026 for the next edition.
