Invitation-only, all-release blue marlin tournament at Abaco Beach Resort that opens the Quest for the Crest Marlin Majors series.
The El Jefe Invitational debuted in March 2026 as Leg One of the Quest for the Crest Marlin Majors, a new Bahamas blue marlin series run by the Fish Bluewater team behind the Quest for the Crest sailfish series. Teams dock at Abaco Beach Resort & Marina in Marsh Harbour and fish three days under an all-release format with cumulative billfish release points; blue marlin, white marlin and sailfish count, with separate gamefish jackpots for dolphin, wahoo and tuna.
Series champions are to receive custom blue jackets, with the first series awards planned for 2027 when Legs Two and Three are added. Big Ben won the inaugural 2026 event on 32 points.
