Overview
Biloxi's casino-backed blue marlin tournament, one of the richest in the Gulf, fished from Point Cadet Marina each June; the 29th edition paid out about $1.6 million in 2026.
Founded in 1997, the Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish Classic runs out of Point Cadet Marina beside the Golden Nugget Casino in Biloxi. Tournament week includes a dock party, golf scramble, registration and captains meeting, a boat parade start and public weigh-ins on Friday and Saturday afternoons, with awards on Sunday morning.
The 2026 tournament (29th annual) drew 60 boats; weather pushed fishing back and teams chose a Sat-Mon or Sun-Tue window (June 6-9). Fleur de Lis won with a 631.2-pound blue marlin. It is a Gulf Coast Triple Crown leg and a Gulf Grander 7 event. The site already lists a full 2027 schedule for June 7-13, 2027.
