Overview
Two-day all-release billfish tournament with tuna and dorado divisions at Marina Pez Vela each January, promoted as Central America's largest and richest offshore event.
The Rockstar Offshore Tournament is Pelagic's January event in Quepos, Costa Rica, scored on billfish releases in separate sonar and non-sonar divisions plus weighed tuna and dorado. Its 10th edition in January 2026 drew a record 117 boats and 659 anglers with $2.9 million in cash and prizes, and 2,340 billfish released over two days.
General entry for 2027 is $4,500 with an extensive optional-jackpot menu; check-in, captain's meeting, weigh-ins and awards are all at Marina Pez Vela.
